Short version: digital files are delivered instantly and cannot be returned, but a broken file is always replaced; printed goods are made to order, so there are no change-of-mind returns, but anything that arrives damaged or wrong is replaced at no cost.

Etsy and Gumroad take the payment and handle the card details, receipts, sales tax and VAT. We never see your card number. Prices are in US dollars; any tax is shown at checkout.
Digital downloads
- Delivery. Etsy makes catalogue files available the moment payment clears. The digital star map is drawn after payment and the download links appear on the order page and in your email, usually within minutes; the links stay live for 7 days.
- No returns or refunds once delivered. Because a download cannot be given back, digital orders are not refundable after the files have been made available. If you are in the EU or UK, your statutory right to withdraw ends when the download starts, which you agree to by completing checkout.
- Defective files are replaced. If a file will not open, is corrupt, or is not what the listing describes, tell us within 30 days and we fix or replace it. If we cannot, we refund it.
- Star-map accuracy. The chart is computed from the date, time and place you type. Check the spelling and the date before you pay. One free redraw is included if you ask within 7 days of delivery; a wrong date or place is not a defect.
Licence for digital files
You are buying a licence to print, not the artwork (which is public domain) and not the files themselves. The licence is for personal use: print as many copies as you like, at any size the guide allows, for your own home and as gifts. You may not resell, share or redistribute the files, print them for sale, use them in a product or service, or use them commercially in any other way. Want a commercial licence? Ask. Printed goods (sold on Etsy)
- Made to order. Every print, canvas, frame and shirt is produced after you order it by our print partners (Gelato and Printful) at the facility nearest you, then shipped to the address on your Etsy order. Production usually takes 2–5 business days; transit time depends on the destination and is shown on the listing.
- Cancellation. You can cancel on Etsy within 24 hours of purchase, provided production has not started.
- No change-of-mind returns. Because items are made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind, a size chosen in error, or a wrong address.
- Damaged, defective or wrong item. Tell us within 14 days of delivery with a photo and we send a replacement at no cost (or refund if a replacement is impossible). Nothing needs to be sent back.
- Personalised star-map prints. After you order on Etsy you get a link to a watermarked proof. Approve it, change anything, or do nothing: it goes to print 24 hours after the order. Once it is approved or printed, the details on it are final.

Colour and sizing
Every screen and printer renders colour differently; small differences from the preview are normal and are not a defect. Maximum print sizes quoted for downloads are measured at 300 DPI; printing larger is your call.
Our content
The underlying artworks are public domain, CC0 or US-Government works and remain free for everyone. The restored files, previews, text and the star-map renderer are ours; please do not copy the site.
Liability
Our responsibility for any order is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. The terms in force when you ordered apply to that order.
